I painted this for a demonstration for Wendy Custer's art class at Fluvanna High School. It was inspired by a view of the field across Route 53 from Pleasant Grove, very near the high school.
I started painting this years ago and abandoned it thinking it was going nowhere. Anna spotted it and encouraged me to finish it. So I did. I gave it to her and now it is hers.. in more ways than one! Acrylic painting on stretched canvas, 24 x 36"
I've always tended towards painting in a graphic or design oriented style. More recently I've taken a more representational approach to my painting and I like it, but I think I'll continue painting the graphic ones as well. Here's a painting I had fun with from years past. Oil painting on stretched canvas, 16 x 20"
