Sandstorm

I painted this one summer years ago. It was a quick, alla prima painting I made sitting on our porch while Charlie drew with crayons beside me.   Oil painting on stretched canvas, 6 x 7.5"

A view of Charlottesville from a nearby hill. Oil painting on stretched canvas, 18 x 24"

Under Leaves

One summer, a large, interesting looking weed grew up in our driveway. I liked the way the leaves glowed when sunlight shown on them from above. I took a photo of the plant from the ground looking toward the sky and made this painting from it. Acrylic painting on stretched canvas, 18 x 24"

Radiate

I started painting this years ago and abandoned it thinking it was going nowhere. Anna spotted it and encouraged me to finish it. So I did. I gave it to her and now it is hers.. in more ways than one! Acrylic painting on stretched canvas, 24 x 36"

Hike

Here's an imaginary path I made. I had fun playing with the colors on this one. Oil painting on cradled panel, 6 x 8"

Groucho

When I was in high school, I made this print from an illustration on a book about the Marx Brothers. Linoleum block print, 5 x 7"

Waves

An abstract image I had fun with after working on a more representational painting. Oil painting on stretched canvas, 10 x 20"
