I recently joined Daily Paintworks  - a website that is focused on presenting the artworks of daily painters. One of the activities hosted by the site is a group of "painting challenges" in which artists are challenged to paint the same subject or theme. My painting this week is for one of those challenges: paint "sky holes" (the places in views of trees where the sky peeks through).

Pink Moon

I've always tended towards painting in a graphic or design oriented style. More recently I've taken a more representational approach to my painting and I like it, but I think I'll continue painting the graphic ones as well. Here's a painting I had fun with from years past.
